Drawing upload and NDA review process
Share a non-confidential envelope first, or request an NDA before releasing confidential geometry. Files go to the engineering inquiry mailbox as attachments.

The engineering decision
Define the boundary before the build.
A confidentiality checkbox records a request; it does not sign an agreement. Our initial form accepts a non-confidential STEP/STP or PDF drawing and your NDA PDF for review. If a signed NDA already exists, include its reference before sharing a drawing covered by it. Your team decides which information is authorized for disclosure.
| Option | When it fits | Resolve before release |
|---|---|---|
| Initial non-confidential review | Send an envelope, simplified section or redacted drawing. | Confirm that you are authorized to share each attached file. |
| New NDA request | Request an NDA and optionally attach your PDF template. | The team reviews terms and returns the agreed document for execution. |
| Existing signed agreement | Send the relevant agreement reference with the drawing. | Confirm the parties, scope and disclosure are covered before upload. |
Private delivery rather than a public file link
Inquiry attachments are transported with the request to the private engineering mailbox. Customer files are not uploaded to the public product-image CDN and the form does not create a public download URL. Mailbox access and follow-up transfer requirements should be agreed with the project team.
If the upload fails
The page reports a validation or delivery error and preserves the written brief. Check the allowed file type and limit, then retry. For larger assemblies or a different secure transfer method, email the team before sending the package. A success message appears only after the mail transport accepts the request.
After the agreement is signed
Include the agreement reference, drawing revision, units, materials, critical tolerances and acceptance requirements. Our team still needs to confirm that the file opens and that the requested manufacturing route is feasible.
Preparing a useful first brief
An envelope sketch and operating-point table are often enough to begin. Avoid including unrelated confidential geometry or personal data. For a multi-file package, agree a transfer channel with engineering rather than renaming an archive to an accepted file extension.
Prepare your RFQ
The inputs that make a useful review.
| Input | What to send | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Project identity | Company, business email, country and project scope | Lets the team associate the request with the correct organization. |
| Drawing package | One STEP/STP or PDF up to 6 MB | Use a controlled revision and clear units. |
| NDA document | Optional PDF up to 2 MB | Template submission begins review and is not an executed agreement. |
| Disclosure status | Non-confidential or existing signed NDA reference | Makes the intended sharing boundary explicit. |
For confidential geometry, complete the NDA review before disclosure.

Questions before you specify
Does ticking Request NDA sign an agreement?
No. It requests review. The parties must agree and execute the NDA separately before confidential disclosure under it.
Can I upload a ZIP or executable?
No. The form accepts one STEP/STP or PDF drawing and an optional NDA PDF within the stated limits.
Will files appear in the product gallery?
No. Customer inquiry attachments are separate from public product images and are sent only through the inquiry mail workflow.
